{"id":471,"date":"2021-10-14T10:14:25","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T15:14:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/609495b192.nxcli.io\/?p=471"},"modified":"2021-10-15T10:29:13","modified_gmt":"2021-10-15T15:29:13","slug":"paul-berry-3-version-2-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radiopoop.com\/?p=471","title":{"rendered":"Paul Berry 3 V2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Your humble Radio Poopah is trying to figure this one out.\u00a0 \u00a0A few years ago the buzz was that Paul Berry the Third (AKA PB3) was buying KXEN and WGNU from Burt Kaufman.\u00a0 \u00a0Paul was shouting from the tree tops that he was going to change the stations from paid religion into conservatalkers and make a fortune doing it.\u00a0 \u00a0 PB3 did change the formats but apparently never closed the deal.\u00a0 \u00a0Depending on who you talk to PB3 either had second thoughts on the deal and walked away from the closing table or PB3 defaulted on the purchase agreement.\u00a0 \u00a0No matter.\u00a0 \u00a0 Burt carried on and continued to operate the stations under the new formats sans PB3.<\/p>\n<p>The other day the Grand Poopah <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insideradio.com\/free\/the-game-debuts-in-st-louis-with-programming-from-vsin\/article_306a2ba6-2b7a-11ec-84c9-c38e6189dc77.html?fbclid=IwAR0YbixsHrlCBP_OcVcQs9xX0i2sEaZR6dZYg8HEVueKKxQCccQvAf-oc4s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>saw this posting on the &#8220;Inside Radio&#8221; website<\/strong><\/a> that PB3 was <em><strong>AGAIN<\/strong><\/em> buying the stations.\u00a0 Only this time they were going to be running a gambling format called &#8220;The Game&#8221;.\u00a0 \u00a0The article goes on to say that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insideradio.com\/free\/deal-digest-emf-deal-to-bring-k-love-to-canadian-listeners\/article_d802fd38-da31-11eb-87ef-df49066e1afc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>106.9 translator is being sold to Rob Austin from Toled<\/strong>o<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0 The Grand Poopah is a tad bit confused.\u00a0 \u00a0First, why is one of the translators being sold separately?\u00a0 And second, why isn&#8217;t PB3 doing the smart thing and going conservative talk?\u00a0 \u00a0I can&#8217;t believe he&#8217;s not jumping on the bandwagon.\u00a0 \u00a0He could then be the 5th and 6th conservatalkers in the STL behind 97.1, The Refugees, The Newbees, and the Patriot.\u00a0 I just don&#8217;t understand!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Berry the Third Version 2.0 is Deja Vu All Over Again<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":480,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-471","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-poop"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.0 -
