The Newbees at 93.3 are airing Dan Bongino between 11 A and 2 P weekdays. The Refugees at 101.9 are also running Dan at the same time. How is this possible? The same syndicated show at the same time in the same market on TWO different stations? Well, leave it to the Grand Poopah to figure this one out.
The Refugees are on K270BW at 101.9 which is licensed to Bellefontaine, Missouri (not Bellefontaine NEIGHBORS, but Bellefontaine which is a community that is now part of CHESTERFIELD! Don’t believe me? Check out this Wikipedia page under HISTORICAL COMMUNITIES for the story on what USED TO BE Bellefontaine). Anyway, the Refugee’s station is in the STL MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area, how the Feds define metro areas….the STL MSA has 15 counties in MO and IL and the City of St. Louis). But the Newbee’s station KRTK 93.3 is licensed to Hermann, Missouri which is in Gasconade County and is NOT CONSIDERED A LOCAL STATION OR PART of the STL MSA. So as far as the syndicator (Cumulus) is concerned the stations are not in the same market! The Refugees are in the STL and the Newbees aren’t! Crazy, huh?
That’s my explanation. But then again, it might be because the real Dan Bongino got his DNA pilfered by the Russians when he got the Vid One Nine Vaccine and Boris had him cloned and now there are TWO Dan Bonginos. Wow, I think I just gave both stations new conspiracy talking points! The Grand Poopah needs to charge for this as show prep!
