Remember Steve Mizerany? The local appliance king whose tag line was, “Don’t Be Confused”. I could use the help of Steveo as The Grand Poopah is a tad bit confused. Can anybody help me figure out these mysteries:
- Will Tracy Ellis ever get her station(s) and Newbees on the air? First it was July 12th, then the 19th, then the 26th and now August 2nd.
- Will Tracy Ellis ever stop creating new shows and hosts for her (yet to air) station(s)? I think she’s up to 155 new shows including one from the Blues Towel Guy featuring tips on proper towel snapping in the locker room showers..
- Will Annie Frey ever come back from maternity leave? It was announced on July 26th that Dana Loesch will be filling in for her instead of the rotating local hosts including the amazing Mike Elam. Mike, sorry to see your temporary hosting gig come to an end. Even though Dana got her start at 97.1 she’s now a national host and that means more McRadio on 97.1 and less local. (RADIO NERD FACT: The Grand Poopah heard the FIRST EVER Dana show on a Sunday night WAY BACK WHEN. Jamie Allman introduced her live on the air and then let her have it at. Whoda thunk that timid Sunday night host would evolve into the firebrand she’s become. YOU GO GIRL! They need you on News Talk STL as it’s all DUDES ALL THE TIME! No conservative Dudettes? Come on Jeff!!)
- Will the Refugees get a St. Charles County signal? Having a conservative radio station that doesn’t have a decent St. Charles County signal (the current 101.9 is weak at best) is like Sauget without topless clubs. I keep hearing that Rick Pogue is going to put a new roof on the Viper studios in trade for leasing the station for Westplex coverage of News Talk STL. Truth or Dare?
- And what’s with News Talk STL anyway? There are no conservatives left in STL city or County. They’re all in STC! Shouldn’t it be renamed News Talk STC?
- And what’s with New Talk STL having their studios at Union Station in the heart of Liberalville. If you’re gonna talk the conservative talk shouldn’t you be walking the conservative walk in studios out in the Westplex, JeffCo, or FrankCoMo? All those Refugess paying that 1% tax to Democratic St. Louis City! Reminds me of the Westplex politician wanting to spend most of his campaign budget on FaceBook ads. HELLO? Zuckerberg ain’t a conservative. (Call me on the POOP line, 636-400-POOP and I will tell you who it is! HINT: A state rep, and I believe the ONLY politician in the Westplex that doesn’t have a show on Tracy’s station).
- Will Jamie Allman ever get back on the radio? There’s the John Beck/104.9 rumor but I’ve heard that’s probably not going to happen. Rumor has it that Jamie is working a side hustle as a content moderator for Twitter? Can that be true?
- Why can’t I get the Number 7 at McDonalds with no cheese? I keep ordering the two cheese burger meal with no cheese and they can’t seem to understand that all I really want is the two hamburger meal that they don’t offer anymore.
Can anybody help me figure out these quandaries?
