It was O Dark Thirty on Monday, August 9th. A group of the Refugees parked on the shoulder of Highway 61 near Bowling Green. At exactly 0400 they got out of the NewsTalk STL VW Microbus and walked over to the transmitter building of Boost Radio. The ringleader of the group, Tim “Paramedic Speaker” Jones motioned to Chris “Talent” Arps to place the C4 on the door of the Boost transmitter building. Jones then instructed Tony “I Retired Just Like Mark Klose” Colombo what to do when the explosives breached the door.
Jones yelled out the battle cry “GREEN BALLOONS” (it’s a Speaker kinda thing) and Chris pushed the detonator. The door to the transmitter building flew open! Tony ran inside, reprogrammed the Schwartzbaugh 3502 digital audio codec to switch the audio stream from Boost Radio to News Talk STL! The threesome chest bumped, got back into the VW van, and headed back to their studios in downtown Liberalville.
The dramatic take over of the 94.1 signal from religious Boost Radio to conservative News Talk STL was complete. August 9th, 2021. A day that will live in infamy.
