Jamie Allman is back on the radio. John Beck, the refugee from the Refugees who is now I Heart St. Louis Grand Poobah (no relation to yours truly the Grand Poopah), has flipped Majic 104.9 over to talk. I thought it was going to be the FOURTH conservative talker in the STL. But for the first time in 86 years the Grand Poopah is WRONG!. It’s going to be a new talk format dedicated to Poker! Yes, Hot Poker 104.9! All gambling talk all the time.
If you haven’t heard the gaming industry is on a tremendous roll. Recent revenue numbers just released show the best second quarter numbers EVER! And unless Delta wipes out all the gamblers 2021 looks like a banner year. So Beck decided to roll the dice and hire Jamie Allman for mornings on the new station. Beck said, “Hey, how can we lose? Jamie wrote the book on Hot Poker! I’m projecting nothing but asses, I mean ACES!”
Rumor has it that Vic Porcelli, a noted stud and poker player at the STL casinos, will leave News Talk STL 101.9 and move up the dial to 104.9 to join Jamie.
Is Tracy Ellis worried with more competition for her newly minted Real Talk 93.3? “Hell no!”, Tracy said. “God will eliminate that heathen gambling talk and smite their tower with a mighty thunderbolt and knock them off the air. And when the election is overturned President Trump will take away their license”.
