You have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool the Grand Poopah. I was born at night. But not last night. But I think I’ve been conned!
Tracy and Rick Ellis, AKA the Newbees, have been promoting their new radio station(s) for months now. They were supposed to be on the air on July 5th. Then the 12th. Then the 19th. Then the 26th. Then August 2nd. And then we were told absolutely, positively on the air by August 9th. Well, it’s August 10th. At least there’s no more K-Wulf on 93.3. But now it’s a weird promo featuring Jimmy “The Viper Voice” Fish. Weird in that it has some long audio cut with some British dude talking about fighting in Afghanistan. Huh? Duh?
I’m beginning to think the whole “Real Talk” thing is a fake. It’s just a way to sell more real estate! That’s what Tracy and Rick REALLY do. And do well.
All the shows that Tracy was promoting? I think they’re all Vaporware. No Bill Eigel. No Hoft bros. No Dan Bongino.
Meanwhile Refugees Jeff Alien and Joe Rush (the former fourth member of the namesake group) are busy adding another station 94.1 to cover the Westplex. And coming soon 97.7 which will cover the JeffCo area. These dudes mean biz.
Yes, the Grand Poopah has been conned. There is no Real Talk 93.3. It’s all a fig newton of my imagination.
